Why Kilimanjaro? Because it is, simultaneously, the highest volcano and highest mountain in Africa, part of Seven Volcanoes and Seven Summits circuit.
Kilimanjaro is the highest mountain in the world, self standing. Massif of volcanic origin, ie is a stratovulcan. Data provided by specialists in 2003 shows that magma is only about 400 m below the crater bottom solidified on top. Althugh the mountain range lies just 3 degrees south latitude, due to high altitude on the mountain top there is permanent snow, that a glacier, which is found only on Mount Kibo.
